This discusses the success of the Duke teacher workshops in 2008 and 2009 in increasing student exposure to Alice programming in a wide array of disciplines. These workshops reinforced the need to integrate Alice into the entire curriculum in all disciplines rather than just creating courses solely focused on programming in Alice. Also included were example worlds that teachers created for their students in subjects such as math and music. Teachers expressed the need for academic objects, such as DNA molecules, pipettes, coordinate planes, and artist tools.
